Tokyo Cherryblossom in 2026 starts!

Tokyo's cherry blossoms are finally beginning to open. Walking through the city today, the soft buds caught the early sunlight, and at this pace, we will definitely see full bloom by the weekend.
There is a distinct buzz in the air. The streets are noticeably busier with tourists, bringing a lively, expectant energy to the quiet neighborhoods I usually wander. Yesterday afternoon, I was scouting a small residential path for an upcoming Tokyo photoshoot. The gentle rustle of the branches and the distant, rhythmic hum of a local train felt incredibly nostalgic under the pale spring sky. A passing neighbor simply pointed to a freshly bloomed branch and gave a warm, knowing smile.
Despite the growing crowds around the main landmarks, the true beauty of natural photography lies in finding those undisturbed, intimate corners. Documenting quiet, unposed moments against this delicate and fleeting backdrop is always a deeply rewarding experience.
My camera is packed and ready for the busy days ahead. Let's see what the weekend brings 🌸
